08/28/08 Lottery Sales Set Record in Fiscal Year 2008 Minnesota State Lottery ticket sales reached a record $461.5 million in fiscal year 2008, an increase of $38.9 million, or 9.2 percent, from 2007. Record scratch game sales led the increase, ending the fiscal year at $298 million, an increase of $37.1 million, or 14.2 percent. Sales of online games such as Powerball totaled $163.5 million, up $1.8 million, or 1.1 percent, over the previous year.
