05/01/07 LOTTERY CONDUCTS SECOND MATCH 6 DRAWING AFTER BROKEN BALL DISCOVERED DURING OFFICIAL DRAWING
Broken Number 36 Ball Gives Players Second Chance To Win
MIDDLETOWN Pennsylvania Lottery officials conducted a second MATCH 6 lotto drawing Tuesday evening after they discovered that the number 36 ball was broken during the live 6:59 p.m. official drawing.
The first set of MATCH 6 lotto winning numbers is 13-18-27-29-32-33; the second set of winning numbers is 04-11-12-19-21-27. The Lottery will pay winning tickets for both the first and the second set of MATCH 6 lotto numbers drawn on May 1 for all prize tiers.
The broken 36 ball was detected during the routine post drawings. After careful review of the drawing tapes by Lottery drawing officials, the volunteer senior witness, and the independent Certified Public Accountant, along with studio personnel, it was determined that the number 36 ball was broken when the live MATCH 6 lotto drawing took place.
The Lottery regrets any inconvenience resulting from this incident. During the live Lottery drawing on March 24, 2002, a similar incident occurred during the CASH 5 drawing when one of the balls cracked.
How to play MATCH 6 lotto: Players receive three plays for $2. Players select six numbers from 1 to 49, or they may elect the quick-pick, computer-selection method for the first line of play. The PA Lottery quick-picks an additional two sets of six numbers from one to 49, for each play. This gives each player three lines of six numbers each, for a total of 18 numbers.
