ATLANTA,GA. Georgia Lottery retailer Clyde's Market is receiving a $25,000 retailer incentive bonus for selling a Georgia Mega Millions jackpot ticket. The store, located at 27215 U.S. Highway 80 W. in Portal, sold a jackpot ticket for the $275 million drawing held Feb. 22.

Any Georgia Lottery retailer who sells a winning Georgia Mega Millions jackpot ticket can earn the $25,000 retailer incentive bonus payment. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold in Georgia, the retailers selling the winning tickets will share the $25,000 retailer incentive bonus. Robert Harris of Portal correctly selected the winning numbers for the Feb. 22 Georgia Mega Millions drawing and became the largest single winner in Georgia Lottery history. Harris, 47, selected the cash option and received $171.3 million before taxes. As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Georgia Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

A 47-year old iron worker from the tiny town of Portal, Ga., claims to have won the $270 Mega Millions lottery. He showed up Saturday morning to celebrate at Clyde's Market, where he bought the ticket Friday night.

The winner, who would only give an Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter his name as "Mr. Harris," said he lives in a mobile home with his wife and two daughters and drives to Atlanta to work on skyscrapers. "But all that's about to change," he said. "I used to live in a trailer. And I used to be an iron worker."

Georgia Lottery officials could not be reached for comment Saturday morning to confirm that Harris purchased the winning ticket. Harris said he selected the winning numbers - 7, 12, 13, 19, 22 and Mega Ball 10 - by using the birthdates of his six granddaughters, but he did not elaborate. "I'm too happy and confused right now to think too clear," he said.

Georgiana Mulrooney - a clerk who works at Clyde's Market on Highway 80, the main road through the town of about 600 - confirmed that the store sold Harris the ticket. She said the store and Harris have been in touch with lottery officials. Portal is between Statesboro and Swainsboro.

The 40-year-old mother of three purchased the winning ticket at Publix Super Market #0049, 3480 Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, while grocery shopping. She scratched it in the car.
