Six years later, in 1999, the game underwent its first major overhaul, which included adding a second draw per week, changing the number matrix from 49 to 53, and substantially increasing the game's lower-tier prizes.

TALLAHASSEE,Florida The Florida Lottery announced today $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Scratch-Off game winner Linda McLaughlin, 50, of Jacksonville, claimed the $1 million top prize at Florida Lottery headquarters.
McLaughlin, who arrived at Florida Lottery headquarters wearing her Publix uniform, received a lump-sum for her winnings in the amount of $708,794.50. She purchased her winning ticket at Publix located at 7749 Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a bonus of $20,000 for selling the winning Florida Lottery ticket. McLaughlin said that after completing her shift at the Publix deli, she decided to purchase a $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Scratch-Off ticket. She scratched the ticket while still on the premises, only to discover the ticket was not a winner. "Something told me to go buy one more of those $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Florida lotto tickets and sure enough it was a $1 million winner," McLaughlin said. When asked if she planned on returning to the store where she works, and purchased the Florida lotto ticket, McLaughlin said she was unsure.
